What is the difference between laser and IPL?

Laser is a light beam at a specific wave length e.g. We use Nd:Yag lasers at 1064nm (nm=nano metres).

IPL uses a white light. The light beam includes the spectrum of visible light and infrared light. We use equipment ranging from 480 nm - 950 nm.
